New life, new beginnings

Watched 3d at shaw lido. Alot people. So choose 5pm slot. Cineleisure is damm packed. So sian diao. Ate mac at lido. Was so darn food. Wanted to take pictures while we were wearing those 3d googles. LOL. Too bad never bring camera and the handphone no flashlights. =.=. Hmm, overall avatar was good, some parts are touching. LOL. Of cause my tears never roll down. =D. After that went to my house market bought dinner then off to home. My legs are so darn pain. Tomorrow going rest my legs then thursday going count down to 2010. ^^.

It has been 12 years since we last saw James Cameron's feature film on the big screen. The last being "Titanic", a 1997 film which earned the record as the highest-grossing film in history up till this day. It was reported that Cameron wrote the script to "Avatar" almost 15 years ago, but had to put the filming on hold until modern-age technology was able to bring his imagination to life.

"Avatar" centres on Jack Sully (Sam Worthington), a U.S. marine who is paralysed from the waist down. He is recruited to travel to a planet called Pandora, where it is inhabited by an indigenous population known as the Na'vi, which takes on a human-like form but with a tail, blue complexion and a height that is 10 feet tall. Jack soon participates in an Avatar programme, whereby he will inhabit the body of a genetically-engineered Na'vi hybrid known as an Avatar. While his existence in the world of Na'vis has its own agenda, chaos erupts when the humans begin to attack their peaceful habitat in order to pillage their natural resources.

Australian actor Sam Worthington successfully delivers his part perfectly as a down-right humanitarian who is brave and loyal. Initially supposed to help Colonel Miles (Stephen Lang) destroy the Na'vi's homeland, we soon witness him embrace the Na'vi race despite not actually being one. Furthermore his strong feelings for the beautiful Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) made him willingly sacrifice anything for her, even betraying his own kind. As for Zoe Saldana, she holds her stand as a patient and wise teacher towards Jack as she slowly guides him to become one of them. She too has her fair amount of action sequences with her enemies. Stephen Lang's performance does not fall below the bar of excellence as a colonel who tries to destroy the Na'vi race. Without fail, he makes sure audiences form an immense hatred towards his actions.

Throughout the film, viewers will be at awe towards the gorgeous, other worldly imagination of Pandora, unusual wild animals, and also during Jack's transformation as an Avatar. The visuals throughout the movie are no doubt stunning; however the story lacked originality.

If you're hoping that dishing out some extra cash for the 3-D version would to be worthwhile, that won't be necessary as there aren't many 3-D pop-out effects. Nonetheless, audiences will be entertained visually throughout the film. Maybe after this, James Cameron will shift his status from the "King Of The World" to "Master Of The Universe" as he manages to create amazing films throughout his involvement in the industry.

Later going to watch avatar 3d, when was the last time i had watched? since i was small? LOL! Later wear 2 glasses. LOL.!!!!!

Today went to play L4d 2 with clonie and tony. And of cause porky also. Played 2 campaigns then we played counter strike. Before doing all these, we searched high and low for lan shops because alot places are packed and dont know why. It seems alot people like playing lan today. =.=. Ate at the quick bite again and with XXL chicken. Damm full. =D. After that, home sweet home. ^^. Heng never go chalet. Damm sian lo at there. =.=.

Yesterday went to orchard road to have a feel of christmas since my house area i cannot feel anything. =.=. Went to pizza hut to eat the christmas pizza, favourite bbq chicken. Tried the "expensive" dessert in the menu which is not expensive as compared to other restaurants, but nevermind. The cake was too sweet and the ice cream looks like cheap kinds de. LOL. Guess i only like the bbq chicken best. =D. The total amount was less than i thought. Hmm, wierd. Then off to take bus to orchard road, all those taxis that drove pass us is tempting me man. LOL. Nevermind, save money. Hehe. =D. Finally we reached the destination. Overall it was ok. There were pictures taken. Yea, with my digital camera this year for christmas. At least the graphic was better than my phone. =(. Hmm, as usual, alot people and squeezy. Standard. The events i think is same as last year. Finally bought the small christmas hat. 5 dollars. =.=. Never gotten a chance to bought the HORNS. Sobs. Suan le. Next year i try hunt for it. I thought that yesterday rain was going to spoilt our date but heng it stop. =D. Oh ya, i forgot to say about my hamsters finally give birth to 5 babies. Today is the 5 and half day i guess. =D. Grow hair le. Later when i have the time i will go try take the pictures. =D

Yesterday went on a shopping trip. Bought bag, clutch, 2 shirts and 1 shorts while porky had 2 t shirts. Walk until leg and back pain. Ate at burger king. Today gona go out and take some pictures. =D. Happy christmas to all. ^^

I think my outing with my group tomorrow is cancelled. Suan le. Go shopping with porky. =D

Yesterday went to attend a bbq event organised by weiting's IS group. It was fun and all. Porky go catch crabs, all the crabs so small. =.=. Reached home around 12plus. So late. In the end, there were foods left.

Watched finish this japanese drama dont know for how long then i posted it in blog finally. LOL. Only have 10 episode. So short. Some lame scenes, some cool scenes etc. The lead actress is very look alike as xu nuo xuan. =D Her real name is kato rosa. The lead actor is only 15 years old. =.=.

Today went to watch storm warriors 2. It was nice with special effects. Somehow can say is chinese matrix show bah. LOL. Got 1 part damm funny. Cause it's damm stupid.

Eaten a satay that makes my wanna puke, yet it cost at 50cent at one. Minimum need to order 10 pieces. Waste of my money. Stomach damm pain. =(.

"Storm Warriors" has a lot of fans. We have the type who read the 1989 source material and saw the first movie and we also have the electronic type that are brought it by the producers in large numbers to blow at Aaron Kwok and Ekin Cheng's hair. So which one outnumbers the other?

More graphic novel movie than martial arts epic, this sequel to 1998's HK cinema milestone "Storm Riders" is the greatest incarnation of Ma Wing Shing's celebrated "Fung Wan" comic and nothing short of box office blitz is expected when entrusted in the able hands of directors Danny and Oxide Pang. However, when the brothers themselves tell you that no decent movie critic can avoid comparing this wuxia reupdate to that Spartan SFX feast "300" because it uses the same software (!) that's when you know you have a novelty movie in your hands.

Indeed it is special effect before story as we are swirled and twirled into the windy world of Nip Fung (Ekin Cheng) and Bou Keng Wan (Aaron Kwok) as the two heroes (and their emo hair) return to the silver screen after so long to battle evil once more. The story starts off coherently with some reference to the first movie and we are soon made to understand that this will be a two-hour battle with Wind, Cloud and Nameless (Kenny Ho) against evil Lord Godless (Simon Yam) and his equally evil son Heart (Nicholas Tse). Layabout Piggy King (Lam Suet) joins the story later on, together with Lord Wicked (Kenny Wong Tak Bun), Second Dream (Charlene Choi) and Chu Chu (Tang Yan).

However, this synopsis is too simple - or frankly, unnecessary. In a CGI-heavy project such as this, we are only interested to see kungfu moves and stupendous swordplay that can only jump out of a comic book or a computer game, not academic debate about why the Japanese warlord played by Simon Yam is so incredibly hard to kill. The supporting cast have little to do. That's why you won't mind soft porn actor Kenny Wong as an armless sifu or cute newcomer Tang Yan, who replaces Shu Qi as Cloud's romantic interest Chu Chu to no visible effect. Like "300", we want to see how many will die and how war is big and bloody. With that in mind, "Storm Warriors" is a beautiful wallpaper movie (as one reviewer called it), with enough stop-mo scenes to effectively render it a show to be photographed and framed as much as to be watched.

Complete with waterdrop-splitting CGI work, "Storm Warriors" is undeniably a must-watch movie if only to see how far HK cinema has come. Detractors and sceptics can wait for the swords to cross again in "Storm Warriors III" (and there will be one, if the abrupt ending says anything) and wish for improvement but anybody who has ever seen the first movie will simply have to catch "Storm Warriors". We can't be sure if turning evil has anything to do with it but the fortysomething duo will still look just as young in a third movie. Watch "Storm Warriors" to see Ekin and Aaron in the same frame, this reviewer says. That ageless skin is no CGI!

yoz...im back again....ytd watch ninja assassin...nice movie....M18...alot of blood n gore scence....damn nice....when see the flesh spilt n blood spill..and the stupid face of the victim...i laughed damn loud with a guy in front of me...the whole cinema was mostly our laughter..lol...guess we are sadistic...lol.....phew...haha!....after the movie...when to ION orchard to had our dinner are food opera...had murtabak....and momo hav minced meat noodles...the food was nice...but exp....even the fruit juices cost 6 bucks...lol....after eat finished...we then waited bus to go home...had to take 2nd bus becus the first bus had too much people...n fetched momo home...and i reached home at about 11pm...lol..bathed n slack a while...then slp....and todea whole day was rotting n studying at home....sian.....haha...okie la..tats all for todea...cya next time..take care .....bye =D

Yesterday went to watch ninja assassin. It was nice, bloody and gory. =D. I was able to eat nachos and drinking coffee while watching the show. LOL! Not much people as this show is old. November 26 de. =.=. Finally it's holidays. With projects and studying around. I doubt i would enjoy this 3 weeks holidays. Haiz. WHY????? I Dont feel like going to chalet but, if never go, what would happen, if i go, what would happen? Haiz. Just hope that on that day i would get sick and dont need to fan about it.

South Korean popstar Rain plays a lean, mean, murdering machine who endlessly cuts, slashes and slices up his enemies - but also manages to keep a warm heart for the ladies. Rain's action scenes as Raizo, an assassin who plots revenge against the Ninja organisation called Ozunu Clan which trained him to become a killing machine, turned out to be far more intense than seen in the trailer video.

Directed by James McTeigue ("V For Vendetta") and produced by the Wachowski brothers ("The Matrix" trilogy), the movie runs thin on plot and bears a thrilling yet gruesome action sequences that will make it worthy of a slasher movie as it contains a lot of bloody scenes where limbs are decapitated, earning a rating that is 18SG. Definitely not meant for kids, and insisting that it's not for teens either. Calling in the stunt choreographers from "The Matrix" and "V For Vendetta", it has live action stunt work that is as realistic as it can get with minimal usage of wires. They've even brought in free-runners and acrobats from Jackie Chan's stunt team in order to achieve a non wire-assisted standard and to make the stunts more towards real acrobatics. You won't be seeing people nonsensically floating and flying from one spot to another like Gianna Jun in "Blood: The Last Vampire".

The graphics and visual effects here is highly reflective of "The Matrix" as you watch Raizo dart away from shurikens (known as throwing stars) and fight off guys with his trusty chain with a blade on end. It also bears an over the top visual style effect that is similar to "300" such as blood bubbling up out of a guy's chest. As with every Asians involved in a martial arts/action movie, there will always the inescapable corny dialogue. This time, focusing on the human heart. Too corny in fact that it might strike up a giggle or two.

Although Rain expresses himself much better in Korean dramas and films, it's a no-brainer that he's putting a lot of effort into this movie, going on a strict diet of chicken breast and boiled veggies, and training himself six hours a day for eight months in order to get those solid abs. No doubt he has a lot of brushing up to do on his English, but as a skilled ninja in combat, he does a good job. Converse less and fight more is a good option for this budding Hollywood actor.

"Ninja Assassin" packs a punch in action if you're into ultra violent movies. Meanwhile, Rain's female fans won't be disappointed as he maintains his suave style and shows off his killer body throughout the movie.

Today is a long day as usual for wednesday. Write finish HRA notes. TPS do tutorial then SVE see the others playing games then in the end got 1 free dark chocolate from tudor gold from SVE teacher out of a sudden. LOL. Never like to eat dark chocolate. Nevermind, just eat since it's free and also been skipping lunch. But hor, stomach really damm hungry so go buy 2 bbq chicken. But it's so small. So also hungry. =.=. Did petty cash book. Then can go home le. Met porky at cave and go to ntuc and buy shampoo and ate at the eatery. After that went home, slacked and he went off. =D. Hope tomorrow is a good day. Hope PE is not tough. =(.

Today is such a wierd day. Happen to help people. 3 people? but the 2nd one is i say dont know. Cause i really dont know. The 1st one is a indian auntie who dont know how to use atm card.
